1940’s styled Levi Vintage standard fit t-shirt with short sleeves, round neck and blind stitched hem. Coloured t-shirts were not manufactured in the 1940s but enterprising style-seekers would over-dye white t-shirts- and that is what has happened to this model. As part of the process, the ribbed neck always takes a little more of the dye, leaving that section with a darker shade. It has since been heavily washed and the black has faded to a softer tone. The oversized breast pocket features Levi pocket branding and copper rivets on the stress points. This is part of the number-3 series of “value” products, the 340 is a shirt-jacket that was worn as an outer layer at a time when denim was strictly work wear.
