The PMR Tx unit transfers stereo audio from music or audio players such as MP3 players or Apple iPod to the Rx Bluetooth stereo Phone Headset/receiver wirelessly and freely. The Tx unit plugs into an MP3 player, iPod or other playback device and, using Bluetooth technology, wirelessly sends music to the Rx unit or to a Bluetooth Stereo Phone Headset. The lightweight Rx unit allows users to plug in a stereo Phone Headset or portable speakers. In the case of Phone Headset usage, users can wear the Rx unit on the lapel or in a shirt or jacket pocket. Provided the user and the Rx are within range of the Tx unit, it will be able to listen to music from a music player – wirelessly.

The Zoom Model 4310 is a USB adaptor, which can plug the USB port of either a Windows or Mac computer. It is a Class 1 Bluetooth device, which provides a range of up to 10 metres and will communicate with all other Bluetooth devices, including Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 devices. When connecting to Class 3 devices, the Model 4310 is limited to the shorter range of the less powerful Bluetooth device. The Model 4310 is Bluetooth version 2.0 EDR compliant, which increases speed, reduces battery consumption and allows superior performance in the presence of interference from 802.11 wirelesss devices and other 2.4GHz radios. The Model 4310 supports throughput of up to 3 Mbps, the maximum allowed by the Bluetooth version 2.0 EDR standard.
